Well since I am still working on my craft projects, I figured I could keep everyone busy reading this blog by posting tips and tricks I have learned throughout my many years of experience in the beauty business. i get both men and women on a regular basis asking me questions about the industry, new products, tips, and tricks. So today will be my first "Tip of the Day" post.

Tip #1: Bright Lipsticks-Whats right for your tone?

So bright lips are all the rage this spring/summer. This is a perfect trend for the hot summer months. A clean face, mascara, clean brow and a WOW LIP! Easy and effortless way to look put together for that BBQ. If you are a FAIR skinned beauty( you burn easily or dont tan at all or get a slight coloring from the sun. Think Kristen Stewart, Zoey Deschanel) I recommend that you stick to orange base lipsticks. This tone tends to be more flattering on your tone. Try Lady Danger, Russian Red, Morange, Chatterbox, So Chaud, Brick-O-La, or Costa Chic all from M.A.C Cosmetics. If you are a Medium Plus to Olive/Dark skin tone, try a blue based bright lipstick. Up The Amp, Girl About Town, Lickable, Rebel, New York Apple ( she is my fav!) These lipsticks as well are from M.A.C Cosmetic. These lipsticks are extremely true to their color, long wearing, and conditioning. Another tip: when swatching lipsticks at the counter, DON'T use the back of your hand. Use the fleshy-meaty part of your thumb. This spot on your hand is more true to your lips texture and suppleness. Plus, its closer in color to your lips and you'll get the best reading of a lipstick color on that area of your hand. So go out and try a new shade for summer! and have fun and step out of your box! Keep an open mind and stay fab!
